Role: Community Analyst

What we’re looking for:
Waste is looking for a bright, inquisitive individual to join the Strategy team as a Community Analyst & Insight Hunter. Your days will be spent immersed in gaming communities, listening, learning & hunting for trends & insights that will fuel new ideas and more effective content.
Many of our clients have built huge global communities, and we help them keep those communities engaged, excited and loyal. That’s where you come in – keeping us all up to date with the weekly conversation, talking points, memes, ideas and grumbles.
You’ll also help monitor the performance of our content across the social & web – using social analytics & sentiment analysis to pick up on what’s working, what needs a little tweak, and what has totally flopped!
We’re a fast-paced agency made up of small teams empowered to crack on – so you’ll need to be able to hit the ground running and own your work & deadlines. We’ll offer expert guidance, on the job training and access to APG courses & similar, but this is not a role (or agency) laden with endless processes or hand-holding.
Ideally, your experience and skill set will include:
Min.2 years in a community / social marketing role
Social analytics (from channels & tools)
Strong grasp of numbers, social & digital data
Excellent written & spoken communication skills
Spotting consumer trends & insights
Turning lots of data into clear & inspirational reports
Passion for gaming (ideally mobile gaming)
Passion for social media & marketing
Nose for trends & channels off the beaten track (not just Instagram, YouTube & Reddit!)
Your duties will include:
Playing our client’s mobile games every day
Weekly community reports (presented internally & delivered to client)
Monthly & quarterly content reports
Social & consumer trend reports & inspiration
Ad-hoc research sprints for pitches & internal projects
Analytics & recommendations for Waste’s owned channels
